Fire Damage Restoration in DFW Airport

One of the first questions we get when called to a fire damage is, “Does home insurance cover fires?”

We immediately contact your insurance company.  After you have filed a claim, our office assigns an office administrator to take care of you.  They will work with your adjuster on a daily basis to ensure your insurance claim is processed and you receive the benefits your policy allows.

We work directly with your adjuster to approve all the fire restoration steps your property needs, such as:

  • Fire board up services
  • Water damage restoration
  • Debris removal
  • Smoke odor removal
  • Smoke damage restoration (including clothing)
  • Fire damage cleanup
  • Air duct cleaning
  • Carpet cleaning
  • Reconstruction

How do you know you won’t be charged for services your claim doesn’t cover?

We ask for permission from your adjuster before performing a service.  If this step isn’t approved, we notify you immediately and talk you through other alternatives to restore your home.  The last thing we want to do is give you a surprise bill.

Our Fire Restoration Process

Every fire damage event is a little different and requires a unique solution, but the general process stays the same. The steps listed below illustrate our process for the “typical” fire damage emergency.

Step 1: Emergency Contact

We are available 24 hours, 7 days a week. When you call, one of our representatives will ask a series of questions about the fire damage to your home or business. This information helps us respond immediately with all the needed equipment and resources.

Step 2: Inspection and Fire Damage Assessment

We determine the scope of the fire and smoke damage by examining the affected areas and by testing the adjoining rooms for smoke and soot damage. An accurate assessment is crucial to the planning process.

Step 3: Immediate Board-Up and Roof-Tarp Service (if needed)

Fire damage can often compromise windows, walls, and roofs. To maintain security and to protect against further damage, we can board up missing windows and walls and place tarps on damaged roofs.

Step 4: Water Removal and Drying (if water damage is present)

The water removal process begins almost immediately and removes the majority of the water. We then use dehumidifiers and air movers to remove the remaining water and complete the drying process.

Step 5: Removal of Smoke and Soot from All Surfaces

Your property’s ceiling, walls, floors, and other surfaces will likely have smoke and soot residue. We’ll use specialized cleaning products, equipment, and techniques to properly clean your home or business.

Step 6: Cleaning and Sanitizing

Any restorable items will be cleaned and sanitized. We’ll use a variety of specialized cleaning techniques to restore your belongings to pre-fire condition. Our professionals will also remove smoke and other odors using advanced air scrubbing equipment and fogging devices with deodorizers.

Step 7: Restoration

Restoration is the process or restoring your home or business to its pre-fire condition. Restoration may involve relatively minor repairs, such as replacing drywall and painting, or it could include significant reconstruction of entire rooms.
