We are Now a Mother Friendly Worksite in Dallas, Texas!

We're happy to announce we have been named a Mother Friendly Worksite for Texas!

We have a great team of professionals that make it possible for SERVPRO of North Irving to be a trusted leader in the restoration industry.  Some of our team members are young mothers with babies that require their mom's love and attention even while she's at work. One important need our young moms have is the ability to have a supportive lactation policy so they can take care of their baby even while away.

As a Mother Friendly Worksite in Dallas, we now make it simple and safe for our working moms to express and safely store their breast milk throughout the workday.

Family First

We’ve been a family-owned and run franchise since 1986.  We know the importance of family, which is why a core tenant of our franchise is up keeping strong, loving, and healthy relationships with our families.  Every day, we are called to people's homes to restore their property after a fire or water damage. While removing water or packing fire and smoke damaged contents, one of the affected areas is usually a child’s bedroom or play area.  Our hearts go out to the families handling difficult situations and, as parents, we understand that one of the most important parts of our work is making sure the impacted child gets their home and belongings back to normal as quickly as possible.

For most of us here at SERVPRO, our children are what gives us purpose.  They are our motivation to make every day count. We want our children to be safe, healthy, and happy.  We want them to be proud of mom and dad.

When our work gets tough, we often talk about the "why" of it.

Why be up overnight extracting standing water from a flooded home?

Why get up every day and walk into water or fire damaged homes and work to restore them?

Why continue attending continued education classes to learn more cleaning and restoration techniques?

Why travel to storm for weeks or months at a time and be away from home?

Why pay so much detail to clean an entire home's worth of clothes and toys?

We all have different reasons, and yet they're all the same.

"I want my kids to have a great life."

"My son wants a new bike, and that's what his birthday present is going to be.  I can't wait to see his face when he sees it."

"I'm putting my daughter through college.  She'll be one of the few to graduate without debt."

And just as powerful, "My house is fine, but this child's home isn't.  I want them to be okay."

Our work is not easy.

But it is always purposeful.

With this family first tenant in mind, it was an easy decision to create a better work environment for the moms on our team.

Texas Department of State Health Services and the University of Texas

With guidance from the Texas Department of State Health Services, the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and the University of Texas School of Public Health Austin, we have improved our office environment and created accommodating schedules to help our moms transition back to work after maternity care and leave.

We have designated clean, safe, and private areas of our office for moms to express breastmilk.  We have also designated refrigerated storage exclusively for breastmilk to keep it safe until it can be taken home at the end of the workday.  Our working mothers can also create a schedule of work for themselves that helps them complete their professional duties and take care of their child.

Our working mothers provide tremendous support and leadership for our business.

We're pleased to be able to provide an environment that supports them in turn.  They truly are doing it all, and we're proud of them.
